Quart capacity can mislead
AS101's larger measured volume is mostly vertical. Independent measurements found virtually identical surface area, so single-layer foods do not gain the space the quart number suggests.
Low heat changes the menu
AS101 can hold much lower temperatures and adds Dehydrate. FN101's preset-led, high-heat format is simpler but less flexible.
Portability means system pieces
FN101's moving pod is useful only if you value moving, serving and storing with its specified glass vessels. The pod is not a universal lid for other cookware.
Bundle suffixes matter
AS101 color codes and offers can include different vessels or lids. Treat the suffix as part of the model identity before checkout.
Glass is not maintenance-free
Dishwasher-safe vessels reduce scrubbing, but the heating unit still needs wiping and every glass/plate/lid component needs dry storage.
