The bowl is borosilicate glass, while food also rests on a ceramic-nonstick crisper plate that Cuisinart describes as PFAS-free. The exact surface stack matters more than a generic 'glass air fryer' label.
Independent testing was positive; replacement-glass availability was not
Good Housekeeping reported even crisping in its exact-model tests. Tom's Guide also tested AFC-4 but could not buy a spare glass bowl at publication, so replacement-vessel availability should be rechecked before treating the bowl as an easily replaceable part.
