Best Glass Air Fryers: Choose the Vessel and Workflow
Four exact glass-vessel air fryers separated by drawer, portable, large-system and rotisserie workflows—with food-contact surfaces, hot-glass handling, replacement vessels and independent crisping evidence kept visible.
Add the Cuisinart AFC-4 for the best-supported familiar drawer workflow. Choose Ninja Crispi Pro AS101 when adjustable control and larger glass vessels justify a taller modular system, or FN101 when portability and cook-serve-store matter more than direct temperature control. Pass on Fritaire as a default crisping pick; consider it only when stainless rotisserie accessories are the point and its weaker independent food results are acceptable.

Why this list exists
Glass is one design choice—not a complete performance or safety verdict.
Current glass-air-fryer demand is real, but the category now mixes pull-out drawers, removable heating pods and top-mounted rotisserie systems. A transparent vessel does not make those formats interchangeable, and it does not tell you what food rests on above the glass.
We separated the shortlist by the job each exact model performs. The default goes to the appliance with a familiar routine and positive exact-model crisping evidence; specialized systems must earn their extra vessels, adapters, batteries or storage burden.
How we chose
How we separate useful glass from material-only marketing
Record the complete food-contact stack
Cuisinart uses a borosilicate glass basket with a ceramic-nonstick crisper plate. Fritaire publishes glass plus stainless-steel accessories. Ninja's glass vessels still use model-specific crisper plates. We do not convert a glass bowl into a blanket coating-free claim.
Read the source ↗Let exact-model results overrule the trend
Good Housekeeping reported strong AFC-4 crisping but weak color and crisp texture from Fritaire in exact-product tests. A materials preference can narrow the field; it cannot make every machine cook equally well.
Read the source ↗Price breakage and replacement into ownership
Glass is visible and easy to inspect, but it is hot, heavy when full and breakable. Published replacement-vessel identifiers are more useful than assuming a bowl will remain available for the appliance's life.
Buy the workflow, not the container count
Two Ninja vessels help only when small reheats, serving and refrigerator storage are frequent. Fritaire's rotisserie and tumbler help only when those foods justify batteries and more parts. Otherwise a single drawer is simpler.
The shortlist
Four exact models, four different reasons to add—or pass

Cuisinart ClearView AFC-4
AFC-4Open the sourced model record →The strongest default in this group: a familiar four-quart glass drawer, direct temperature adjustment, an interior light and positive exact-model crisping evidence.
View the Cuisinart ClearView AFC-4 on Amazon ↗Add this if
- A familiar pull-out drawer should be the main air-fryer workflow.
- Temperature control up to 450°F, two custom presets and a viewing light will be used.
- A ceramic-nonstick crisper plate fits your material preference even though the basket itself is glass.
Pass if
- You need more than four quarts or regularly cook in two vessel sizes.
- You want stainless steel rather than a ceramic-coated crisper plate under the food.
- You require a replacement glass bowl that is already confirmed in stock.
AFC-4 earns the default position through format and evidence, not merely transparency. Its main unresolved ownership issue is replacement glass: Tom's Guide could not buy a spare bowl during its test period, so recheck that part before treating the vessel as readily replaceable.

Ninja Crispi Pro AS101
AS101Open the sourced model record →The control-and-capacity step-up: adjustable 80–450°F operation, six functions and 6-quart plus 2.5-quart glass vessels, without pretending its flat cooking surface is much larger than FN101's.
View the Ninja Crispi Pro AS101 on Amazon ↗Add this if
- You will use adjustable temperature and six functions rather than a preset-only system.
- The taller 6-quart vessel helps with bulky food or baking.
- A second 2.5-quart vessel improves small-batch ownership.
Pass if
- You assume six quarts means a much wider single-layer cooking surface.
- The simpler Cuisinart drawer already covers the normal four-quart batch.
- You want the smaller FN101 pod to separate completely for portable use.
AS101 earns a place through height, temperature control and functions. RTINGS measured almost the same flat cooking area as FN101GY, so the larger capacity should not be sold as a dramatically wider crisping layer.

Ninja Crispi FN101
FN101Open the sourced model record →The workflow specialist: a removable PowerPod, 4-quart and 6-cup glass containers, storage lids and four function-led programs. Add it for leftovers and portability, not as the strongest crisping default.
View the Ninja Crispi FN101 on Amazon ↗Add this if
- You will cook small portions in the 6-cup container and larger ones in the 4-quart vessel.
- Serving and refrigerating in the cooking container removes real dishes from the routine.
- The PowerPod's separable storage format solves a space problem.
Pass if
- You want direct temperature selection or an interior viewing light.
- The second vessel, two lids and adapter would become unused storage clutter.
- Independent crisping performance matters more than modularity and reheating.
FN101 is not a smaller version of a drawer air fryer. It earns its place when the vessel moves from cooking to table to refrigerator. Good Housekeeping found the reheating and modular workflow more persuasive than crisping performance, which keeps it in a specialist tier.

Fritaire Glass Air Fryer (White)
Fritaire-01-WH-FBAOpen the sourced model record →Glass plus stainless accessories, a rotisserie and tumbler make it materially different. Weak exact-product crisping results make it a pass unless those accessories—not basic fries and wings—are the purchase reason.
View the Fritaire Glass Air Fryer (White) on Amazon ↗Add this if
- A rotating basket or rotisserie is the specific weekly job.
- Glass plus stainless food-contact accessories fit your exact material preference.
- You accept the battery-powered rotisserie, extra parts and manual glass-bowl cleanup.
Pass if
- Crisp fries, wings and breaded snacks are the main use.
- You expect 'self-cleaning' to wash and dry the bowl without handling.
- A conflicting 6-in-1 versus 9-in-1 function count makes the listing feel clearer than it is.
Fritaire supplies the clearest pass case in the shortlist. Its glass-and-stainless system is distinctive, but Good Housekeeping's exact-product results did not support it as a default air-frying recommendation. The brand's materials language is recorded as a claim, not converted into a broad health score.
Manufacturer specifications ↗Glass changes the vessel, not every food-contact surface—and it does not create one universal health ranking.
Cuisinart uses a ceramic-coated crisper plate, Ninja uses model-specific plates, and Fritaire states that its included food-contact accessories are stainless steel. Glass can reduce contact with a coated basket wall, but it is also hot, heavy and breakable. Material preference is a valid buying constraint; it does not replace exact construction, intended-use guidance or cooking performance.
